Day 11- Time to head for the USA

Day 11-August 6th It's time to say goodbye. The boys enjoyed one last breakfast. Once again very filling. After breakfast the boys gave it their best attempt at playing cricket, which at times was hilarious. They found out quickly how tough the game of cricket is to master.  Some of the boys figured it out and while other, lets just say they need a lot more practice. Time to pack up and head for the airport. At 12:30 pm we boarded the bus and headed to the airport. At 5:30pm we started our journey back home to the USA. Many thanks to the STE staff. Their partnership with us made this trip a great success! Last but not least, a big hand goes out to Paul Willis and James Pederson. Thank you both for all the time you spent coordinating this trip. You made it a success! Paul willis said it would be a life changing trip. He was right on. It was a great success. Memories that will last for ever.

Day 10- Portsmouth Harbor & Lancing College

Day 10-August 5th The day started with a very large breakfast.The buffet included; scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, hash browns, danishes, cereal, and yes fruit. Very delicious and filling. Around 9:30am we boarded the bus and headed for Portsmouth. We took a tour of the HMS Victory. It was a great history lesson of a great warship. The ship was massive. The kids really liked the story about the HMS Victory. In 1922 she was saved for the nation and placed permanently into dry dock where she rem ains today, visited by 25 million visitors as a museum of the sailing navy and the oldest commissioned warship in the world. After eating lunch we spent some time at Gunwharf Quays shopping. As usual the boys bought a few gifts to take home. At 4pm, we returned to the bus and headed back to Lancing College. Dinner was served at 5:30pm which was another large meal. Several choices of pasta, garlic bread, salads, ect. and multiple choices for desserts. We ate so much, it took us

Day 9- Onto the UK

Day 9- August 4th We arrived at London Gatwick airport around 11:10am. Jumped on a bus and headed for Ardingly. This is where we met up with Paul Willis. Wow what a site!! The buildings and landscape at Ardingly are beautiful. I'm talking incredible!!! After relaxing a little while the kids decided to play some games that involved using a tennis ball. At 3pm Paul , Coaches and players jumped on the bus and headed for Oval In Kennington, London to watch a Cricket match. The Oval, currently known for sponsorship reasons as the Kia Oval, is an international cricket ground in Kennington,  in the London Borough of Lambeth, South London. It's the home of the Surrey Cricket club. The Oval holds 25,500 people. We arrived at the Oval around 5:30pm. The match was Surrey vs Glamorgan. We arrived in time to watch the teams warm up. STE educated us all on the rules of the game. The boys really liked the food choices at the Oval. Lots of fried food just like the USA. The match

Day 8- Amsterdam shopping and Hard Rock Cafe

Day 8 Aug 3rd It's our last day in Holland. Started the day with another healthy Dutch breakfast. On the menu was the usual hard boiled eggs, lots breads and cheese of  your choice and the usual tomatoes and cucumbers. There was also cereal and some delicious mini danishes. After breakfast we had the boys pack and clean rooms. An hour later we started room inspections. The deal was no shopping in Amsterdam until all rooms passed inspection. Well it took some time, but finally all rooms passed inspection. Off to Amsterdam for some shopping and then dinner at the famous Hard Rock Cafe. The boys shopped until they dropped. We ended the night at the Hard Rock Cafe. Mostly large burgers and fries were devoured by players, coaches and STE staff and lastly dessert was served. It was a hot brownie with whip cream. Yum Yum. Back to the Hotel and in rooms by 9:30. Early check in at the airport. Departing Amsterdam at 10:55 am.

Day 7- Tournament in Rotterdam

Day 7 -August 2nd Today we are back to playing ball. The boys played in a mini tournament in Rotterdam. Seacoast A and Seacoast AA had very successful days on the diamond. Both teams went 2-0. Seacoast A won game ( 1)   7 to 6. Trailing 6 to 5 going into the last inning William Hindle started the inning with a walk and then immediately stole 2nd base. Cam Beane waiting on a fast ball, hit a rocket over the center fielders head. Will Hindle scored to tie the game and Cam Beane scored right behind him with a walk-off inside the park home run. A celebration followed at home plate. The stars of the game were Cam Beane 2 for 4 and Owen Fox. Lucien Mason picked up the win on the mound. Seacoast AA won game (1) convincingly. Final score 13 to 1. Offensively, everyone contributed with several players getting at least 1 hit. Devon Lapierre was the winning pitcher. Seacoast A won game (2) with a score of 15 to 3. Connor Norton led the team offensively. He went 2 for 3 with a triple
